The Infiniti QX80 (AKA Infiniti QX56, AKA Infiniti Z62, AKA Nissan Patrol Y62, AKA some other stupid thing soon) is body on frame. Not sure why I assumed it wasn’t...but I kinda just assumed it was unit body with subframes.

So it is written so shall it be.

I don’t dislike it, other than the fact that it looks much better as a Nissan. And also that people who can buy it as a Nissan don’t like that you can no longer get a diesel in it.

I’ll just call up Infiniti and....THEY HUNG UP! why would they do that For Sweden?!

Did you punch in the secret code?

I tried...but then I remember it was a secret and I know how to keep a secret.

This is what the Armada should be now...
Yeah, I can see people being upset about only having petrol engines in the lineup.

This should be the armada, but its probably too expensive. i.e. Sequoia vs Land Cruiser; both use the same basic frames, engines, and transmission...but one is WAY more expensive to make than the other owing to one being build here and the other being an import.

You’ll find a brown envelope under your driver’s seat within 7-10 business days. Follow the included instructions and may God have mercy on your soul.

It’s based on the Armada/Titan platform.

Not anymore, it used to be though. The Y/Z62 is a unique platform to Nissan. Its the same story with the Toyota Sequoia/Land Cruiser. Similar parts, but not the same at all.

I’m with ya. The Nissan version looks good, even if the grill is a bit big, but the Infinity version is just ugly.

When this was released in Australia, to say it was a disappointment would be an understatement. Petrol V8 only was just a big f.u. to the 4wd community here. They still sell the Y61 alongside it...
Just ask Pat

I think i have seen less than 10 on the road in total. I see 10 Landcruiser 200’s everyday.

Yeah, I heard the Australian market really was not impressed. Its doing okay in the middle east (because f’ gas prices) but what a duff on the part of Nissan.

Yep. But that’s the only market it’s going to work in. They obviously didn’t have the money to develop a new diesel engine. The 3L in the Y61 struggled to power that sufficiently, so they obviously felt they couldn’t use that in this. Shame Renault don’t make anything big enough.
